Last updated: 18 July 2026. This policy explains what information Karmakāri and Studios (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

Information we collect

• Delivery email — the address you enter at checkout, used to send your files, receipt, and support replies.
• Payment information — handled entirely by our payment partner (Razorpay). We never see or store your full card or UPI details.
• Order records — the scenes purchased, amount, and timestamp, kept for accounting and support.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to keep the site working.

How we use it

Only to fulfil and deliver your order, issue receipts, provide support, prevent fraud/abuse of the license, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

Who processes data for us

• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Cloudflare R2 — secure file storage & delivery.
• Resend — sending your order/download email.
• Sanity — catalogue content management.

Each acts as a processor under its own privacy terms; we share only what is needed to deliver your order.

Retention

Order and invoice records are retained as required by Indian tax law; your delivery email is kept for support and re-issue of files, and removed on request where we are not legally required to keep it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and may withdraw consent, by emailing us. We respond within a reasonable period as required by the DPDP Act, 2023.

Security & children

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data and private files (encrypted transfer, private storage, expiring links). Our products and site are intended for professionals and are not directed at anyone under 18.
